Lyrics Translation: kimi ga iru kara (君がいるから) ~ ayaka (絢香)

Comments

Once again, thanks so much for translating another one of ayaka's songs. Before I understood the lyrics, I already felt that this song was meant to bring joy to its listeners, and the lyrics certainly strengthens that feeling. Keep up the good work!
LOL, it's so very evident that this song was about joy, isn't it? But I have to admit, that joy is present in spite of pain is something that is not often professed -- which is why this song is certainly something quite special for me (^___^)

Either way, I have been so busy and tired these days that I feel that the quality of translations, especially this post, has been a little lacking... I came home last night hoping to finish off my translation for kurage, nagareboshi but ended up falling asleep and only waking up early this morning...

Nonetheless, thank you for your comments -- they really are so very encouraging!! I promise to do better for my next ayaka translation - anata to!!! (ugh, the song is so beautiful that it's almost sickening... in a good way... LOL) (^__^)
[this is good]

Thanks for the translation, crystalise! It's refreshing to have a song that is love-sick happy but still acknowledges that love is a painful thing! The lyrics are dead on and I can't express how much I feel that this song really sums up love. I already shared with you my favorite parts! Hehe...

In other words, crystalise, I feel as if I can relate to this song to the T...except the whole waking up in the morning thing. Lol.

Anyway... thanks for another wonderful translation!! ^__^

LOL, welcome back!! (^ o ^) I have to say that your sharing on the song has led me to see some parts in a deeper light, so thank you for that! I really also feel that the song does really well to sum up and also sound out that rush of love that is so inherent to that excitement of always wanting to be with someone you love.

Certainly, when I first heard this song, I really wanted to translate it because I really wanted to share the joy that this song brought me by reminding of the sheer joy of just being in love! (^__^)

I'm so very glad that you feel that personal connection with this song too, well, as for that whole waking up in the morning part... it actually reminded me of how me and Buttercup always make morning calls to one another... LOL (^___^")

Either way, WELCOME BACK!!!!! \(^ o ^)/ WOOHOO~ LOL

wow~ (in awe). i honestly didn't think the lyrics would translate into something as powerful as this. to foreign ears, at least mine, this song is definitely full of joy, but this message is just so deep! gosh, ayaka is really something. and, crystalise, thank you so much for all the translations. i would've never known what i'm missing out on. several ayaka songs fit my life so well, but this one describes the past few months.
Hey there, Defoe! Thank you for your support and I am sorry for my sudden hiatus, I will definitely try to keep up with it from now on! My work got the better of me for the last year, but I will try to achieve a better work-life-blog balance, LOL.

Thanks again for your support and sorry for the late reply! I'll start posting things up soon once I finish up my first translation and replying my backlog of comments (^_^)

thank you so much for your translation! i really love this song, and reading the translation has made me really happy =] ayaka is really amazing, her voice is so strong and her lyrics are powerful!

LOL, I'm so glad to be able to share the wonder that drew me to ayaka's songs. They really do connect in a really special way with me as well, so I do put a lot of effort into faithfully translating the message as well as emotions of the lyrics.

Thanks so much for your comments and do share your other feelings on other songs that have touched you as well. I really do like to hear what other people experience since my translations and interpretations are very much limited only to my own experience in life (^_^)

Sorry for the late response--I am really glad that you have felt such a rush of joy in your life! I hope that this comment finds you in its midst still! (^_^)
Thanks for your comments! I really do love this song as well and was head over heels when I got her single earlier this, yume wo mikata ni, and found that the third track was a live version of this song!

The tempo is faster and it's really so awesome the way she executes it (I've been waiting for a while for a live version to turn up since I knew she would nail it so well)! Total awesomeness and again, thanks for your comments! (^_^)

Hello, I would just like to say, I love your blog. Ayaka is my fave JPOP artist and somehow I stumbled here. I'm an Asian entertainment blogger too, and I always write about how good and meaningful Japanese music is. Ayaka is one artist that's all about the music. No trends, no concepts, she speaks to you in a voice that transcends any language and goes beyond physical appearances. I love how you put this " In many ways then, to know love is to know that knowing is not the answer to knowing love. (^___^")"---
[this is good]
Definitely a "pick-me-up-and-blast-me-to-the 7th Heaven" song. Thanks for doing another great translation. Your translation of Perfume's "Love the world" was instrumental to my continued love for that adorable trio.

^_^
